Always a Healthy Alternative..

I love eating Milk Fish especially "Paksiw na Bangus".. The one above is my very own recipe that is made to last longer than all others. The secret is in the ingredients. More spices, less extra ingredients.  I usually stick with lots of garlic and onions with salt, vinegar and a little oil. Yummy alternative to meat. My sister said my Paksiw na Bangus tastes like Lechon Paksiw.. hehehe, funny..
Taro Chips or Taro Crackers as alternative to snack.. It's yummy and it's locally produced. Talk about sustainability.. Enjoy them crispy and delicious.
For a healthier salad, try Goso seaweeds..

Any more ideas for a good share? Do inform me.. Thanks

Regardless of Size and Weight, The Ostrich Egg can Take You..

Yes, that is TRUE. The Ostrich egg can take on any size, and it does not break. That is what I learned today at the Philippine Ostrich and Crocodile Farm in Malanang Opol, Cagayan de Oro City.  I was with Lili and River for their Kinder 2 Field Trip at the Lifetime  Study Center. All the kids were able to sample the stepping of the egg. Apart from the adults that came with them.. And well, it didn't break at all..

Overnight Swimming Fun..

September 10, 2010 was declared a holiday. Now work, no classes. We decided to check in at the Middleton Apartelle for some swimming fun, all Aguilar's Night Fun that is.. Middleton has always been our suki when it comes to overnight swimming because their cut off time is much later compared to Xavier Sports and Country Club which Auntie Vicky would have wanted being that she lives at Xavier Estates. But since off time there is at 10 pm and some of our aunts and cousins will have to be at our spot at 9 pm, the latter proved to be not so much of a family oriented choice.

We had fun and we enjoyed the night as well as the morning swim..

BIG and Small

With me and my baby brother on back to back, while we were boating yesterday, we never stopped laughing as to how big I was and how small he was. Kinda like the giant and the dwarf.. Good that my brother is not rude as other boys his age. Especially those whose parents never taught them good manners.  Really. Kids will acquire how adults around him or her act and react to people's sizes and looks. I mean, teasing and even cursing is not alien to me, as I have met a lot of rude, rowdy and undisciplined kids whose parents are themselves arrogant, let alone ignorant and ill-mannered. But I made it without ever losing my integrity as well as my confidence.

I pity some kids who are not able to tolerate such ill behavior from people who are themselves very insecure.  Either they end up committing suicide or they allow the bullies to bully them forever, even as they grow up as adults. I have always known that people who go about teasing are those who can not face the fact that they are NOT AT ALL better than the FAT PERSON they tease.. So they put up an image of being tough, but are actually NOT..

Lili and River have this classmate who is quite rude and she was harsh and when I learned that she is the daughter of my mom's office mate, well, I told the kids not to be close with her as she is a bad influence. Perhaps her dad or her mom has been harsh about weight and all and perhaps it is an issue for their family..

Parlor Day

My sister and I went to David's Salon for a hair cut and some pedicure and manicure. Well, we kinda have this sister rituals of beautification. And we somehow bond this way..

I like how the said activity can enrich not only our relationship as sisters but also gives us both the time to relax and enjoy simple pleasures as beautification. After this, we usually eat out at the nearby resto or splurge on some pizza dn pasta..
Sometimes too, it's the other way around. We eat first before proceeding to David's Salon.

That's me after my hair cut.. And of course, my sister's..

 Love our trims..

Just Because I am Big, Doesn't Mean I Can Not..

I enjoyed rafting, at the same time conquered my fear of drowning..
The raging Cagayan de Oro River and its mighty 24 rapids that we passed through in our four hour advanced run.. This was the best way to commune with nature.. Glorious and mighty..
I enjoyed flying by wire..

Although, at first my fear of dying made me quit-- But I had to conquer that or waste money and time plus opportunity to prove that BIG GIRLS CAN ALSO FLY..

I conquered Asia's longest Zipline at the Dahilayan Adventure Park.. 840m.. whew.. Adrenaline power!

Diet Sotanghon

This sotanghon was cooked with no oil, chicken with no skin, and had lots of garlic and Chinese onions. Simple as it may look, it was really delicious. And if one is on a diet, this is highly recommended.

Oxidative Stress

Have you tried using anti aging solutions? It is said that if we take in food that are known antioxidants, or use beauty products with glutathione, we free ourselves with free radicals. But oxidative stress also exists when one has a disease like Cancer and Alzheimer's. The more stressful the illness, the more it gives way for our skin to look old.
That is why Oxis International have just the right products for all of us to try. If you wanna read about that simply go to www.oxis.com. You can also follow Oxis on Twitter or LIKE the page of Oxis on facebook.

Finding the Right Wedding Dress

A friend of mine in the US actually shared a bad experience over YM. She was looking for her wedding dress at a shop somewhere in New York and the people in a certain shop gave her the eye.. Instead of feeling good about finding her dress at that shop, she felt awful and did not pursue the purchase. Hmm.. that actually tipped me off my seat and well, I told her she should not be bothered by people's stares.. And recommended buying her wedding dress online.. Huh! Advice from someone who is also conscious of the perfect fitting, lol..

Anyway, below is what I shared with her:

1) There are many shops online. All we can actually do is do a little more research, research and more research!!!

2) Should a wedding dress require fitting, we should make mid week appointments, so there will be less crowd at certain shops.

3) Of course, we have to call the shop, and let them know our TRUE size. It is a must to tell them what we wear, what  x dress size because most wedding dresses on display, and perhaps all wedding dresses are cut on the small side. After all, we live in a society that never believed in happy endings for BIG BEAUTIFUL Women! Besides, there is nothing worse than going into the bridal shop to try on a dress 3-4 sizes smaller. It is discouraging, albeit, frustrating!

4) It is often recommended that BIG WOMEN go for a corsetted back for a more secure feel, at the same time get a gorgeous hour glass figure.

5) Go shopping with someone who will be honest, but not brutally frank as to ruin your mood.

6) Of course, this one is applicable to all bride to be.. Don't leave such wedding preparation until the last minute. The more time intended to finding the perfect wedding dress yourself, the more relaxing it will be later on. Most importantly, have a good time and more choices in the process..

7) Of course, one must be prepared to travel and move around the city and beyond..

8) Lastly, go in with a positive attitude. Know that you are beautiful, and that your fiancé loves you. The women who sneer at you, dont know who you are. Hell, they are even  missing out for not knowing you and your good heart. Who cares if you are a size 8 or 30? It is what is inside what counts.

Most importantly, let this be your shout out:

Fat girls get married
and most of the time we look better than the sneering walking sticks(insects) in gowns!

FAT PEOPLE GET MARRIED TOO!

Who says that ever after is just for the skinny and the fitness junkie? Who says that when a woman (or man) is BIG or in some cruel man's (or woman's) language, FAT, she is no longer worthy of LOVE and AFFECTION??? Who says that FAT PEOPLE are not good lovers? Who says that in order for one to look good, he or she must be THIN or NOT FAT??? If you raised your hand in all these questions, then you are a person far worst than a racist, a chauvinist pig and a psycho-killer!

Hey, this is my opinion and I am not sour graping! I am big, and I have big bone structure. Whether you like it or not, I will be BIG even if I lose the pounds. But, do I feel less than how you want me to feel? NO, I do not, and I never will. Why? Because I know myself more than you think you know me.. Besides, whether I am big or I lose the pounds, I will still be pretty, and smart and I can kick ass if and when provoked! But this post is not about me really. This is a reflection of how narrow minded society is and how FAT people are being used and abused, and even treated like a disease sometimes.. Although, health-wise, it always pays to be fit-- but it doesn't mean that just because the extra pounds  exist, FAT people are then stereotyped as being less of what "we" are as persons.. We are not what you think we are, because we are what and who we think we are! No one in his right mind should dictate upon society how people should be treated and how people should be grouped or classified.

So anyway, why am I ranting when I am supposed to share with you a very beautiful scenario. One that you do not and can not see happening everyday.. And I am sure, the "person far worst than a racist, a chauvinist pig and a psycho-killer!"  will disprove saying that it is not at all acceptable. Perhaps, these are the very persons who sneer at you when you buy your perfect wedding dress.. Well, FAT PEOPLE GET MARRIED TOO!! Deal with it!

I guess I will just have to share it in another post..

Buy a blog review for $10 and help Baby Bella

Yes, I am calling on all kind souls out there. Buy a blog review for $10 and help Baby Bella for her Hernia operation!

The mother of the child you see in photo is a friend, a fellow blogger and a fellow Kagay-anon who happens to live in Bacolod. But she is a Kagay-anon in spirit and by heart. In her own way, she has contributed much to the world. As a mother, it pains me to see that her youngest, Baby Bella is in pain as she has hernia. We do not want the same thing to happen to our own kids, right? Surely, there must be something we can do to help, not only in prayers but in finding a solution to their problem. Technically, Baby Bella will have to have her Hernia operated, and money is needed in the process.

We can help raise the expenses needed for Bella's operation by purchasing a blog review from her Mom, Mommy Rubz. A blog review from her PR3 blog. The review will consist of 150 words (all positive) with 2 links (home page link) and an image of the header or screen shot of the blog to be reviewed. One link with the blog title as the anchor text and the other link is on the image.
Please send an email to pehcats@gmail.com with the url of the blog you want Ruby to review.. and she will reply with the url of the post and the paypal id where you can send the payment and if you are generous enough, you can even add more to the $10 price.

I hope whoever will read this post will,  in one way or another, be giving enough to share.. Either repost this request or tell people who you think can help.. And lastly, let us all pray that when surgery comes, Baby Bella will be alright..

Thank you and blessings be upon you..

Bide within the Law you must, in perfect Love and perfect Trust. Live you must and let to live, fairly take and fairly give.
These Eight words the Rede fulfill:

Being Fashionable with Plus Size Goodies at Kaiplus

Who says that being big is a hindrance to being fashionable? No Sir! Confidence is not measured by what one wears, but how they were worn and the confidence the wearer exudes while the items are worn.. Unfortunately for some of us, we do not get what we want to wear at the malls. If there were outfits or ensembles that we like, they come in the sizes that could either be too small or too big---

Good thing there are online shops that give us the advantage of shopping for really girly outfits that is just right for our sizes.. And very fashionable at that..

If you wish to see their collection, check them out at http://kaiplus.multiply.com/. One thing too, the products are imported and are mostly affordable. Not to mention, fashionably in season..
From underwear to blouses, skirts, pants, boleros and dresses. And some ensembles that have not been introduced in the Philippine market yet.. And even when you buy clothing or any of the items on sale, expect that they are still fashionably "in"..
Do check out kaiplus.multiply.com. Who knows, you may be lucky to find something on sale.. They have SALE & Promos there too..

There are more and more sources for fashionable items that Big Beautiful and fabulous women, and men, can enjoy-- I will share them here in the next posts.. So do come back for more..
